Nand Singh

CEO & President

Dr. Singh has more than 30 years of experience in executive management and serial entrepreneurship. Prior to founding MinMax Technologies in 2007, he co-founded BEST Systems in 1994 and steered it to be a premier Microsoft partner leading to its acquisition in 2002 by CROSSMARK. His company received the coveted “Best in Show” Award and was cited in several case studies from Microsoft for building multiple specialized custom software solutions on the Microsoft platform for key industry leaders.
From 1985 to 1993, he was the director of Technology Transfer for Power Computing Company where he directed commercialization, distribution, and support of 150+ electric utility software products to serve over 500 electric utilities globally. A champion of best practices based on ISO 9001 and CMM methodologies, Dr. Singh helped implement several large projects across different industries. He was the principal investigator and designer for the first Substation Inspection and Maintenance Software initiated by EPRI for all its member utilities.
Dr. Singh is also an adjunct faculty member at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) where he teaches Strategy Engineering, Decision Support Systems and Program & Project Management. He serves on the Distinguished Advisory Council of the Engineering Management and Information Systems at SMU and the Advisory Board of the Asian Studies at SMU Dedman College of Humanities and Science. He is affiliated with several civic organizations and serves on the Traffic Advisory Board of the City of Carrollton, Texas.
An alumnus of IIT-Bombay, Dr. Singh received his MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and his MS, MBA, and Doctorate of Engineering from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Steve Mauser

Utility Expert

Mr. Mauser is a global electrical power systems engineer involved in the development of Smart Grid product marketing strategies and solution architectures based on years of
uniquely-combined experience in research, design, planning and operations of
electric power T&D systems, and in developing successful high-tech product marketing strategies. His technical experience includes T&D systems planning, equipment design, high-voltage instrumentation and testing, laboratory construction, software design and development, and development and
use of industry standards for data modeling and integration across the utility enterprise. Corporate responsibilities have included project and executive-level management of professional and market specialist groups within major corporations (over 200,000 employees), an engineering consultant (150
employees) and a successful startup company. Outstanding team building, leadership, and training skills – coupled with the extensive range of first-hand experiences – have led to the successful development and marketing
of innovative practical solutions in hardware design, information management and Smart Grid solutions.
With 35+ years of professional experience under his belt, Mr. Mauser assumed a full time
consulting role after working at Siemens Energy from 1999 till 2011. Prior to that he worked as a Software Manager at EPRI and T&D Manager at Power Technologies (PTI) which is a global provider of T&D network consulting, software solutions and training and is recognized as a world leader in electrical power networks analysis for generation, transmission and distribution systems, industrial plants as well as Smart Grids. 
Mr. Mauser received his BSEE from Oregon State University, and his MSEE from University of Pittsburgh. He is a registered Professional engineer from Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Life Senior Member of IEEE and CIGRE.
An avid golfer and a fixed wing pilot, Mr. Mauser has several publications to his credit.

Andre Vornbrock

Chief Architect

Mr. Vornbrock has been instrumental in re-architecting SMART from a traditional laptop-based application to a truly mobile device based solution. After conducting numerous interviews with a cross section of utility inspectors and supervisors and utilizing his rich experience in mobile design, cloud services, and hardware integration, Mr. Vornbrock has made SMART a must have companion for utility personnel performing asset inspections within or outside the substation fence. Prior to joining MinMax Technologies, Mr. Vornbrock developed a new design in Electrostatic Loudspeaker (ESL) technology and went on to create VS Audio Labs as a private audiophile research and design company.
After receiving his education, he worked with the Baha’i World Centre in Haifa, Israel, as a Control Systems Engineer gaining more experience in the field maintaining industrial pumps, fans and motors. He was instrumental in re-writing HVAC control loop logic to take advantage of energy saving techniques while still maintaining critical museum standard temperature & humidity guidelines. After independent experience with several mobile applications and business web application programming, he continued to improve a flagship product at Custom Audio Video – a leading Audio Video integrator in Houston, TX. Mr. Vornbrock received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
