Within a span of 2 months, SMART was selected again by another large municipal utility in North Carolina with 20+ substations to replace their aging legacy system. SMART was selected by its engineering and operations management team to be their future tool for performing asset management, inspection, and maintenance of all their substation and distribution assets. The utility has been using an established legacy system for the past 9 years, but they felt that it was time to upgrade their tool to the latest technology which provides ease of use, instant collaboration and communication, and less maintenance on the part of administrators.
MinMax considers this to be a significant trend for SMART towards becoming the leading substation inspection and maintenance tool in the utility industry.
