North Dakota Electric Cooperatives Continue to Embrace SMART

MinMax SMART continues to grow its footprint in North Dakota with the signing of Roughrider Electric Cooperative, a member-owned distribution organization serving a six-county area in the western part of the state.

The electric cooperative was founded in 1948. Today, it serves more than 7,000 members and provides power to more than 10,000 meters.

SMART is a complete asset management and inspection system for transmission, substation, and distribution assets. With SMART, utilities evolve from corrective to preventative and predictive maintenance models. Utilities of all sizes have used SMART to achieve superior asset performance at lower operating costs, while fulfilling NERC and other regulatory compliance obligations in a timely manner.
